12/17/2015 0 Comments Gameday Primer: Wolves - KingsBy: Dan Slaubaugh Happy Friday, Wolves fans. Things may not be going so great for the Timberwolves, but hey, Christmas is just a week away. That's exciting. A little over a week ago, I had posted the Wolves schedule till Christmas, and stated that if they grabbed 5 out of the 9, I would be satisfied. Well, it's not looking so good. Dec 9: Lakers (H) - W Dec 11: Nuggets (A) - L Dec 13: Suns (A) - L Dec 15: Nuggets (H) - L Dec 16: Knicks (A) - L Dec 18: Kings (H) Dec 20: Nets (A) Dec 21: Celtics (A) Dec 23: Spurs (H) As you can see, they've already lost 4 out of the 5, so they'd have to win the last 4 games just to meet my expectations. I don't see it happening, but this season has been weird, so you never know (just being optimistic, probably/definitely way too optimistic). Tonight, the Wolves (9-16) are back in Minneapolis to take on the Sacramento Kings (10-15). The Kings have won 3 straight, while the Wolves have lost 4 straight. Demarcus Cousins keeps doing "Demarcus Cousins-like" stuff averaging 25.2 ppg and 10.7 rpg in 17 games played. Rajon Rondo has returned to his old self, contributing on all areas of the floor.
