The 2015-2016 NBA schedule was released today. For us Wolves fans, it gives us the ability to plan our lives, if we so please, around certain dates in the NBA season. This may be the most anticipated season the Wolves have had in years, with a young nucleus and intriguing pieces surrounding the team.
Anyways, the season opens October 27th for a TNT double-header, like usual. The Bulls will be at home vs. the Cavaliers and Golden State will host the Pelicans, with former assistant GSW coach Alvin Gentry, returning to Oracle with #TheBrow and co.
After opening at home 14 years in a row, the Wolves will start the season on the road for the 2nd straight year. They'll face the Los Angeles Lakers October 28th, at Staples Arena, with the #1 and #2 overall picks Karl-Anthony Towns and DeAngelo Russell making their NBA debuts against each other. 2 days later, MIN will be hosted by the Denver Nuggets right before heading home for their home opener on November 2, vs. the Portland Trailblazers.
Guys, the Wolves have a legitimate chance of starting the season 3-0.
